Thank you to everyone who reached out to share your concerns about the return of the Horse Fair in Mountsorrel.
As you know, I deeply value the harmony that makes our community such a special place to live. It’s this sense of togetherness that defines our area and strengthens our bonds.
This weekend, the Horse Fair will be returning to Mountsorrel. As a private event on private land, it does not require any licenses or official permissions to proceed.
I want to assure you that agencies, including Leicestershire Police and local authorities, are actively involved with the event organisers. They have been advised on the necessary measures to manage the event effectively, including waste removal. Throughout the event, these agencies will stay engaged with the organizers, and the police will have an increased presence in the area to ensure safety.
I am committed to working closely with the council, police, and other agencies to minimise any disruption to our residents. This is a significant event in our community, and I hope it will be enjoyed peacefully and without incident. The careful planning and proactive involvement of the police and council aim to ensure a smooth and successful weekend.
Please know that I am always dedicated to preserving and enhancing the peace and harmony our community cherishes.
Thank you again for your continued support, and I wish you all a wonderful weekend.
